They use less energy and work faster so the only water and energy you use is exactly what is needed. Because of this I recommend replacing your G6A-7 with the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR which is more efficient and offers better performance than the older tank-style heaters.

Atwood and Dometic basically stopped carrying the water heater you have so it would be time to go with something different. I don't know what your cut out is exactly but my parents replaced an Atwood water heater in their RV with the Furrion Tankless part # FR98SR and it worked really well and they prefer it to the older tank setup. Excellent question, and while replacing it is certainly a viable option, I think what I would do in your situation is first try the alternative you mentioned, which is seal it up and treat the tank because the crack is just at the top. If you find out you have to replace it then fine, but sealing it and treating it is a pretty inexpensive fix that I'd give a shot.

Hi Ken; I reached out to Lippert on this and they were unable to find the specific pressure from the # LC689052 testing. It is a large company and sometimes information gets lost across it with other brands like the Flow Max. I would say the pump is well built and we haven't had any reports of it leaking aside from a faulty one that was replaced under the 2-year warranty. This water heater has a 60,000 btu rating which is quite the step up from what you have currently, is a tankless unit so it'll provide hot water on demand (whenever you need it), and will produce up to 144 gallons of hot water per hour.
